In the clip, the actors recall their experiences and look back at the series’ debut on the streamer 8 years ago, on July 15, 2016.

“I started when I was 10 and I’m 20 now,” said Eleven actress Millie Bobby Brown. “It feels very strange.”

“We’re just enjoying every single moment,” said Nancy actress Natalia Dyer.

Expectations are higher than ever, as Jamie Campbell Bower, who plays the villain Vecna, confirms.

“Season 4 was great. Season 5 definitely feels even greater,” he said.

Earlier this month, co-creator Ross Duffer shared a photo of the cast posing together on the soundstage, saying they were in “week 24” and celebrating being halfway through production.

This could mean that the final season will hit Netflix in early 2025, as star Maya Hawke reminded fans to prepare for theatrical-length episodes, similar to Season 4.

“It takes a long time to write each season and it takes a long time to shoot,” she told Penn Badgley’s Podcrushed podcast. “We’re basically making eight movies. The episodes are very long.”

Seasons 1 to 4 of Stranger Things are streaming on Netflix. A fifth and final season is in production. Stranger Things: The First Shadow is now available to book at the Phoenix Theatre in London until February 2025. Tickets are available now.
