The Olympic Games are over – but there is still a lot of news from Paris

The 2024 Olympic Games in Paris officially came to an end on Sunday evening, treating spectators to a spectacular show in which Billie Eilish, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Snoop Dogg brought Californian cool to the next Olympic venue.

Next up is LA28: After the French musicians’ compelling performances, several French officials formally bid farewell. The Olympic flag was then officially handed over to the Mayor of Los Angeles, Karen Bass, who wasted no time in waving it for the world to see.

At a time when credit card interest rates are extremely high, more and more Americans are finding themselves carrying credit card debt month after month, a new survey shows. Instead of avoiding your bill, here are some ways you can pay off your debt:

  • Cut back. Use some of your available budget to pay more than the monthly minimum on your credit card.
  • Set aside. Use additional funds, such as a tax refund, a work bonus, or wages from a part-time job, to pay off your credit card debt.
  • Change cards. Get a 0% balance transfer card so you can transfer your debt to a new card for a limited period of time (often 12 to 21 months) without paying interest.
