After keeping a low profile since Kendrick Lamar’s anti-him diss anthem “Not Like Us” dominated the airwaves since its May 4 release, the Toronto rapper recently revealed the upcoming redesign on Instagram, with the artist’s renditions showing a new message on the outside: “Probably she’s in.” This playful update follows the first version’s message: “If you’re reading this, we left,” a nod to his 2015 mixtape If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late.

Old plane, new look

The new look is more dramatic with cloudy skies and lightning.

Inside, the new look will feature three private suites, two living rooms, a business lounge, an entertainment room and a bathroom with shower. The interior is adorned with gold and wood accents, carpeted floors and beige and light purple furniture.

The plane, named Air Drake, is a converted Boeing 767-200ER with the registration N767CJ. The jet, a gift from cargo company Cargojet, was originally designed to carry 200 passengers, according to Billboard. The jet’s many cabins are 15 feet 6 inches wide, according to Simple Flying.

Drake introduced Air Drake in 2019, expressing his commitment to supporting Canadian businesses through the partnership with Cargojet. “Supporting homegrown businesses has always been one of my top priorities, so when the opportunity arose to join a great Canadian company, I was honored to do so,” he said in a press release.

The IG account Hot Freestyles shows the plane’s private suites, living rooms, business lounge and entertainment room.

Although the jet is almost 28 years old, it appears on Instagram as a souped-up means of transportation.

The plane’s original design was created by the late Virgil Abloh and cost between $80 million and $100 million, according to Simple Flying. How much Drizzy is spending on the revamp is not yet known.

Air Drake, previously owned by Saudi Arabian airline Mid East Jet, made its first flight in September 1996 and was acquired by Cargojet Airways in April 2019, according to Simply Flying, and subsequently acquired by Drake.
