Price honored as Outstanding Young Teacher by Ag Teachers Association of Texas – The Flash Today Erath County

AUSTIN – The Agriculture Teachers Association of Texas (ATAT) held its annual professional development conference in Dallas from July 22-26.

The agricultural science teachers attended professional development workshops, training sessions and general sessions with motivational speakers during the week to improve their current teaching methods and stay up to date with the latest developments in agricultural education and technology.

Distinguished members and special guests were honored during the inaugural meeting on Tuesday, July 23, where the association also presented this year’s ATAT awards. These awards are given to deserving educators and supporters based on nomination and merit.

The Outstanding Teacher Awards are divided into three experience levels: young teachers, mid-career teachers, and experienced teachers. These awards recognize agricultural science teachers who have demonstrated a strong commitment to teaching and student success, excellent teaching practices, outstanding teaching effectiveness inside and outside the classroom, effective development of course programs that equally reflect all components of the Three Circles Model, and the ability to inspire, encourage, and sustain student development.

The Agriculture Teachers Association of Texas Most Outstanding Young Teacher for 2024 is Cameron Price of Stephenville High School.

“Teaching agricultural science is my passion,” Price said. “I’m fortunate to work with our talented and dedicated students every day. The banners may fade and the buckles may eventually disappear into the drawer, but the real lessons and memories come from the road trips to FFA events and with teams of passionate students, and that’s what makes our job so rewarding.”
