On Thursday, July 25, 2024, at 4:30 p.m., Bob passed away surrounded by his family at the Sault Area Hospital.
Bob was born on February 15, 1942, and his parents Violet and Calvin Dawson are deceased. He is survived by his sister Florence and his siblings Lynda, Calvin, Gerald, Jackie and Mary Lynn. As a young man, Bob met and married Norma and had their son Pat (wife Amy, children Andre and Amanda). Bob and Norma later had Lee (deceased) (Angel and children Maurice, Sommer and Autumn). This union was to be short-lived and Bob married Jackie Hurley and together they had a son, Jarrette (Andrea, children Jacob Causley-Wilkins and Elijah). This marriage lasted 54 years.
Bob leaves behind his beloved kitten Milo, as well as coffee buddies, in-laws, nieces and nephews. A huge thank you to all the staff at SAH who have taken care of Bob over the last two months. Everything was greatly appreciated and Bob said that everyone he encountered and the care he received was excellent for as long as he was able.
At Bob’s request, there will be no memorial service. Anyone wishing to make a donation in Bob’s memory is welcome to do so to the Humane Society or another animal rescue organization.
