Reigning national champion Michigan is starting its 2024 season with big steps. In the second week of the season, it will face Texas, a CFP finalist from last year.
It’s possible the Wolverines are in for a rude awakening. No Jim Harbaugh, no JJ McCarthy, no Blake Corum and few transfers. Let’s just hope Sherrone Moore is ready.
Meanwhile, the Longhorns will move from the Big 12 to the SEC. They bring back Heisman Trophy hopeful QB Quinn Ewers and have brought a handful of players out of the transfer portal. Steve Sarkisian is looking to recapture his playoff success from last year. We’ll see if they can do that.

Texas vs. Michigan Tickets

With both teams in last year’s CFP semifinals, the game is one of the most expensive games of the regular season, with the cheapest available tickets currently priced at $475.
This is only the second time the two teams have faced each other, having faced each other in the 2005 Rose Bowl, which Michigan won.
