Wayne Lineker has undergone partial knee replacement surgery.
The Celebs Go Dating star joked he was “high as a kite” after going under the knife and shared a video from his hospital bed following the operation.
In the footage, he said: “I had a partial knee replacement. I just checked it out and my leg is still there, so I think it was successful.”
He joked: “I’m so excited. I feel like I just want to get out.”
Wayne admitted that he tried to order a Red Bull vodka drink in the hospital, but the request was refused by the club owner in Ibiza.
He said: “They asked if I wanted a drink. I said, ‘Yes, a vodka Red Bull, please.’ But they said no.”
“Maybe I’ll come back next week and get the other knee done.”
In February, the father of four sparked speculation that he was engaged to 26-year-old Chloe Ferry when he posted a photo of himself and the Geordie Shore star with the caption, “She said yes.”
But then he admitted it wasn’t real, saying: “We’re in the villa (‘Celebs Go Dating’) and she had a wedding ring. She said, ‘Come on Wayne, let’s pretend we’re getting married.’
“And we took all the pictures and everything, but in the end we didn’t do it, we just forgot.”
Chloe later said that she “loved” Wayne, but claimed that she would never be in a romantic relationship with him as they were just “best friends”.
She said: “If Wayne wanted to get his way and marry me, he would do it.
“He is one of my best friends in the whole world. I love him so much. He is one of the best people I have ever met.”
“We get along so well, but we’re just friends.”
