Sydney native Claudia Doumit, who stars in Amazon’s Emmy-nominated hit series The boyshas a very significant story arc in season 4. Aside from being a fan favorite, her character Victoria Neuman delivered an unexpected twist in the last season that was described as “perhaps the craziest The boys ever done.” While Doumit is the first to admit that her role on the satirical superhero series is a “gray area,” she has also perfected some post-filming beauty tricks – including a tried-and-tested method for removing fake blood from her hair and more.
What is the best thing about playing this very special role?
“Victoria Neuman is a pretty morally complex character. I think as a viewer you never know whether you should support her or not. I’m always fascinated by characters who lie somewhere in that gray area.”
Can you tell us some nice moments from the set?
“I would like to preface this answer with the following: The boys is a very specific TV show – the best way to get fake blood out of your hair is with shaving cream.”
What are your favorite beauty products?
“I will always have Bobbi Brown pink-mauve lipstick in my bag, Weleda body butter in my apartment, and Tiger Balm by my bed.”
What beauty tricks do you resort to when you have to step out of character?
“A hot bath with Epsom salts or a good full-body scrub. That always brings me back into my body.”
What are you looking forward to when summer ends?
“It’s always summer in LA. When the cooler months come, I love wearing anything with long sleeves. And my slippers.”
