A video in which a man realizes why his hair feels a little different after a morning shower caused loud laughter among viewers.
In an Aug. 10 TikTok video posted to the account @reedro1, Reed ran his hands through his hair, but then looked back at his hand in confusion. This is not the normal texture his hair usually has after a shower.
“It wasn’t necessarily a ‘bad’ feeling, I just noticed that it was significantly different from the normal Head & Shoulders products I use,” he said Newsweek via TikTok.
Reed took the cat’s shampoo bottle mixed with his products and without thinking or looking at the different bottles, he just took it and used it. And as he put it in the caption, “the cat strikes again.”

Luckily, this was a one-time accident that he attributed to tiredness. Otherwise, viewers were left wondering how he could have made this mistake, given the shape and bright color of the cat shampoo bottle. Not to mention that the scent could have been a clue, too.
“I got up early that morning and went for a super long run. Maybe in my super tired state I just completely forgot and had a blackout and reached for the wrong bottle,” he said.

The hilarious mix-up quickly attracted attention, with the TikTok video having over 640,200 views, 53,900 likes and 117 comments as of Tuesday. Some saw no harm in the incident and were curious about the outcome, while others seemed traumatized.
“Okay… but I bet your hair smells heavenly,” said one viewer, while a second added, “Oh, now you’re twins.” Too bad the cat seemed a little annoyed that he was using her special product.
One hair expert, however, wrote: “The hairdresser in me is screaming right now.”
He’s not the only one who has made this mistake. One TikToker commented: “Did this once with my dog’s shampoo. I guess my head would have been free of fleas and ticks for two weeks lmao.”
And for anyone wondering if the cat shampoo worked, the owner responded that it was slimy. But he did indeed smell like his cat, which can be a positive or negative depending on the cat.
