The money will come from the city’s Legacy Fund, which is designed to invest “in projects that have a collective impact that leads to transformative change within the community.” The total project cost for The Fairfield Fort Wayne is more than $10 million.

Michelle Chambers, a Fort Wayne City Councilwoman and sponsor of the resolution, described Fairfield Fort Wayne as a unique complex that “meets and exceeds” the requirements for using the funds.

Councilwoman Rohli Booker and Councilman Paul Ensley voted against the resolution.

The Fairfield Fort Wayne, a three-story building at 1501 Fairfield Avenue, will feature duckpin bowling, golf simulators and event space.

The story continues below the video.

The first floor of the building will house Pinhouse Social, a full-fledged restaurant and bar with a dedicated area for duckpin bowling, a retro version of the sport using smaller pins and balls.

At Urban Golf on the second floor, customers have access to a fully stocked bar, a complete pro shop with golf accessories and eight golf simulator stations.

The third floor will house an event space, The Fairfield Wedding & Events, which will include a fully equipped catering kitchen, full bar and bridal suite.
