The new map of the state of Ohio with the “heart of it all” is now available

COLUMBUS, OH – Governor Mike DeWine today announced that the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) is now distributing 1.4 million copies of the new State of Ohio map, highlighting the “Ohio, Heart of It All” tourism brand.

“Our map of the state is a gateway to all that Ohio has to offer,” said Governor DeWine. “Our new map shows more than just our roads. It’s a tool to showcase all that we have to offer in Ohio, the heart of it all!”

Unveiled at the 2024 Ohio State Fair, the new Ohio State Map highlights the latest road changes, updated routes and points of interest to help travelers easily navigate Ohio. Designed for both locals and tourists, the map provides essential information on highways, back roads and notable destinations.

The 2024 map includes photos of landmarks, families enjoying the outdoors and notable places in the state. It also includes facts about the state, contact information for the Ohio State Highway Patrol, information about Ohio’s law against distracted driving and reminders to give way to road workers and slow down.

The public can pick up a free copy of the map at any of the state’s rest areas or order one on the ODOT website.

“Online navigation services can go offline. Cell reception can drop out. It’s always smart to have a printed backup in the car,” said ODOT Director Jack Marchbanks. “Whether you’re exploring one of our state’s beautiful parks or attractions with your family, planning a business trip, or need to plot the best route from point A to point B, the new Ohio State Map will get you there.”

The new maps were printed by RR Donnelly in Macedonia, Ohio.

The first official state map was published in 1912.
