These five Ohio State Buckeyes stars landed on this prestigious list

The Ohio State Buckeyes are widely considered one of the most talented teams in college football. Many people believe Ohio State has the best roster in the country, period.

So it should come as no surprise that the Buckeyes dominated ESPN’s All-America team this preseason.

The list includes safety Caleb Downs, running back Quinshon Judkins, guard Donovan Jackson, defensive tackle Tyleik Williams and cornerback Denzel Burke.

Downs was the only one of the group to make the first team, while Ohio State’s other four stars all made the second team.

The Buckeyes were tied with the Alabama Crimson Tide in terms of representation, as Alabama also had five players on the All-America team.

Nevertheless, three Crimson Tide players made it to the first team.

This is further proof of the depth Ohio State has heading into 2024 and puts more pressure on head coach Ryan Day to make it happen this year.

The Buckeyes open the season ranked second in the AP Top 25 poll behind the Georgia Bulldogs, who incidentally have four players on ESPN’s roster (three first-team players).

Ohio State is looking to end some major losing streaks next season.

First, the Buckeyes have lost three straight games to archrival Michigan and are looking to return to the days when they dominated Big Ten play. Before Ohio State’s current three-game losing streak, the Buckeyes had won eight straight games against the Wolverines.

Second, Ohio State is trying to win its first national championship since the 2014–15 season.
