Companies have taken out 55 billion UAH in cheap loans under the 5-7-9 program this year: what was the largest amount allocated to

Since the beginning of the year, companies have received preferential loans worth over UAH 55 billion under the state program “Affordable Loans 5-7-9%”, the Ministry of Economy reported on Wednesday, UNN Reports.

“Since the beginning of 2024, Ukrainian entrepreneurs have received 14,645 preferential loans totaling UAH 55.2 billion under the Affordable Loans 5-7-9% program,” the statement said.

As stated, more than two thirds of this amount comes from the agricultural and manufacturing sectors.

According to Yulia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, more and more companies are receiving preferential loans under the program “for investment purposes and to improve their own energy resilience.” “Condominium companies and housing cooperatives have already started using the state program of preferential energy loans. They can buy and equip facilities for generating electricity from alternative sources, as well as facilities for storing electricity, at preferential rates,” she said.

Since the beginning of 2024, entrepreneurs have been able to receive favorable loans for the following purposes:

  • UAH 16.9 billion – working capital loans;
  • UAH 12.5 billion – loans to companies operating in areas with high war risk;
  • UAH 12.2 billion in loans for the development of processing enterprises;
  • 10.7 billion UAH for the implementation of investment projects.

Among the regions, Lviv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odessa, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Vinnytsia, Poltava and Kyiv regions are leading in terms of the number of loan agreements.

“Since the start of the program in February 2020, a total of 93.6 thousand loans worth UAH 322.1 billion have been issued,” the ministry said.
