Steven Yeun and Min Hee-jin speak at Hyundai Card’s star-studded Da Vinci Motel fest

Hyundai Card’s annual three-day cultural festival, “Da Vinci Motel,” which features international and local icons from the fields of art, technology and science, is scheduled to kick off on September 27 at the card company’s cultural complex, the Vinyl and Plastic Understage Music Library Storage Art Library in Yongsan District, central Seoul.

International participants include “Beef” and “Minari” star and Golden Globe winner Steven Yeun, singer-songwriter Johnny Stimson, painter David Salle and CEO of fashion brand Ambush, Yoon Ahn, who will hold speaking events through September 29.

Min Hee-jin, CEO of NewJeans agency ADOR, will also give a speech at the festival, and K-pop stars such as Sunmi, Rain, Zion T. and The Quiett will give live performances.

In the business part of the festival, Ted Chung, Vice Chairman and CEO of Hyundai Card, will lead a seminar on business management aspects, Lee Sang-yup, Head of Global Design of Hyundai & Genesis at Hyundai Motor, will discuss the design approach of today’s society, and scientists such as physicist Kim Beom-jun, neuroscientist Chang Dong-seon, historian Lee Ik-joo and lawyer Han Dong-il will share their expertise.

Other major events at the festival include a stand-up comedy session by local comedy label Meta Comedy, a panel discussion with members of the musical “Red Book,” a performance by actor Kim Shin-rok, and a performance art show hosted by the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.

Tickets for the Da Vinci Motel are available as NFTs through the Konkrit app, with prices ranging from 88,000 won ($64) to 298,000 won. Reservations for individual programs can be made through the Hyundai Card’s DIVE app, opening on August 13 for Hyundai Card members and August 14 for others.
