Meanwhile, the Princess of Wales praised the British team and sent a message of thanks, saying: “From all of us watching at home, congratulations to Team GB.” Catherine has not made many public appearances since her cancer diagnosis and has even taken time off from her royal duties.

The Prince of Wales, meanwhile, said: “Congratulations on all you have achieved. You are an inspiration to us all.”

While royal fans were excited to see the couple, one thing caught the attention of netizens on social media: Prince William’s facial hair, as they all coveted the bearded royal.

“Nice to see so many people congratulating GB and oh William…” wrote one X user.

“Excuse me ladies, I need to calm down. Prince William looks so handsome with some stubble,” said another fan.

“Thanks for the beard,” responded a third.

Everything you need to know about Prince William’s beard

According to Hello Magazine, love and relationship expert Dr. Tara explained in a 2015 study that the most aesthetically pleasing beard style is the one that covers the cheeks, is connected to the mustache, and covers the lower jaw just like Prince William’s.

The Prince of Wales’ decision to grow a beard could be interpreted as a rebellious move that will give him a more desirable appearance.

Prince Harry revealed in his memoir Spare that William was forced to shave off his beard. Therefore, his beard makes him look more attractive as he is bucking royal convention by refusing to shave his beard.

Prince William and Princess Kate are currently on vacation and have no upcoming royal engagements, which is probably why the Prince of Wales has been growing his beard longer.
