The most urgent and important recall notice

On Sunday, one of the ladies at church passed around a made-up story that made the rounds years ago. But her message is still relevant today, so I’m passing it on to you. There really is an important spiritual truth to learn.

RECALL NOTICE

Unknown author

We have learned that the Creator of all people (GOD) is recalling all manufactured devices, regardless of model or year, due to a serious defect in the primary and central heart components. The reason for this is a malfunction in the original prototypes, codenamed ADAM and EVE, which resulted in the reproduction of the same defect in all subsequent devices. This defect is technically referred to as “Sub-sequential Internal Non-morality” or more generally as SIN as it is most commonly expressed. Symptoms include disorientation, foul vocalizations, origin amnesia, lack of peace and joy, selfish or violent behavior, anxiety, idolatry, rebellion, and depression or confusion in the mental realm.

The manufacturer, who is neither liable nor at fault for this defect, will provide manufacturer-authorized repair and maintenance to correct this defect free of charge. The repair technician JESUS has generously agreed to cover the entire enormous cost of this repair. No additional fee is required.

The number to call for repairs in all areas is PRAYER. Once connected, please upload your sin burden through the REPENTANCE procedure. Next, download ATONEMENT from the repair technician JESUS into the heart component.

No matter how big or small the sin defect, JESUS will fix it with the miraculous T-Fot/S upgrade which includes love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

For more details on using these fixes, please refer to the instruction manual, the BIBLE (Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth).

WARNING: Continued operation of these units without this required repair will void all factory warranties, expose the units to hazards and problems too numerous to list, and result in permanent confiscation of the unit. For free emergency service, call JESUS.

DANGER: Units not responding to this recall will be subject to furnace scrapping. The SIN defect will not be tolerated near or entering the sky. This is to prevent contamination of this facility. Thank you for your attention!

Seeds of hope

One Sunday after church, the head usher decided to take his family to a local buffet. After going through the line and choosing their food, they sat down at a table near a window. Little Margie unfolded her napkin, folded her hands, bowed her head, and waited for the prayer of thanks. After a moment or two, she opened her eyes to see what the others were doing. To her surprise, her father had started eating.

“Mommy,” she whispered softly, “Daddy started eating and we haven’t thanked Jesus for the food yet. What’s going on?”

“Shh,” her father said. “You don’t say thank you in a place like this.”

“Why?” asked Margie. “Doesn’t God go to the buffet?”

Our gratitude should not depend on where we are or what is going on in our lives. Even though our circumstances change and our feelings fluctuate, we must never forget that God is doing what is in our best interest in all things. Remember that He is always at work in our lives, shaping us into the person He wants us to be.

When life’s trials turn into triumphs, we can rejoice with Paul and say, “Thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!” He always protects and cares for us and is worthy of our thanksgiving.

Prayer: We often forget, Father, that you love us with an everlasting love and that you are with us even when others forget our pain and sorrows. Thank you! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Bible verse for today: But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 15:57
