Magic City Discovery Center’s inaugural 701 Days Postcard Contest announced eight winners celebrating North Dakota’s unique charm and character.
The contest invited participants ages 2 to 18 to create postcards featuring North Dakota motifs. More than 100 participants showcased their creativity and community spirit, according to the Discovery Center. The winning postcards were chosen for their originality, artistic expression and connection to North Dakota’s unique features.
The winners are as follows.
– Ages 2-7: First Riley Vetter, second Jaxon Youngquist.
– Ages 8-11: First, Olivia Wisthoff; second, Lyla Sawyer.
– Ages 12-18: First, Jurnee Rust; second, Anna Dangerfield.
– MCDC staff: First Chance Brentrup, second Ashley Chabot.
The postcards with the winning designs can be viewed in the Discovery Center gift shop.
“We were overwhelmed by the creativity and talent of all participants,” said Tessia Samuelson, educator at the Discovery Center. “It was so exciting to see all the entries and how proud the children are of our little community.”
The Discovery Center’s next competition will be a LEGO building event in September.
