BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The Houchin Blood Bank announced Thursday a partnership with Wiki’s Wine Dive & Grill to encourage blood donations as part of a week-long special this month.
From Aug. 18 through Aug. 24, all successful blood donors at Houchin Blood Banks will receive a $10 Wiki’s gift card. Additionally, each donor will automatically be entered into a drawing for an “exclusive” dinner package for four valued at $250 at Wiki’s, according to the restaurant located southwest of Bakersfield.
Houchin explained:
“This joint initiative is designed to highlight the critical role local blood donors play in strengthening our community. By giving blood at the Houchin Blood Bank, donors directly impact lives and ensure a stable blood supply for those in need. Partnering with Wiki’s Wine Dive & Grill provides donors with an exciting incentive to participate and highlights the importance of supporting local businesses.”
Potential donors can schedule blood donation appointments at hcbb.com/schedule or by calling (661) 323-4222. Walk-in donors are still welcome, but appointments are recommended.
Blood donors must be in good health, weigh at least 50 kg, be at least 16 years old and have the consent of a parent or guardian.
Donors must provide photo ID with date of birth.
