Rick Ross was just attacked after his concert in Vancouver. This is what we know so far

The boss had a hard day at the office on Sunday.

Rick Ross got into an argument that turned physical after his performance at the Ignite Music Festival in Vancouver.

In videos shared on social media by bystanders, one person can be seen staring into the Miami rap icon’s face as a large crowd surrounds them. After the brief, tense standoff, a large brawl breaks out.

TMZ reports that the argument broke out over the choice of music. Some people were apparently unhappy that Ross ended his set by loudly belting out Kendrick Lamar’s latest Drake diss track, “Not Like Us,” in which Lamar suggests, among other things, that his arch-nemesis is a pedophile.

The lyrics go: “Hey, Drake, I heard you like ’em young. You better not go to cell block one. To all the bitches that talk to him and are in love, just make sure you hide your little sister from him.”

Champagne Papi soon responded with his own salvo, “The Heart Part 6” (e.g. “Drake is not a name you’ll see on a sex offender list. If I had fucked young girls, I would have been arrested, I promise.”)

Although Toronto native Drake was not in attendance, his local fans, known as the “BC Demons,” supported the hip-hopper.

Ross has not commented on the matter but appears unhurt and unconcerned, partying and promoting as usual. In his Instagram stories, the 48-year-old local hero poses next to his huge private jet and writes: “Vancouver, it was fun, see you next time.”

Drake has at least commented. XXL magazine notes that the “God’s Plan” singer liked entertainment blog keep6ixsolid’s post about Sunday’s international incident on Instagram.

“S/O Vancouver because Chin checked his double chin,” read the caption on a clip of the violence.

Keep6ixsolid’s post adds that Monday happens to be Canada Day, a federal holiday celebrating the country’s independence.
