  • The 2025 Genesis G80 will arrive at U.S. dealers soon and will start at $57,100.
  • That’s $2,700 more than its predecessor, but the redesigned luxury sedan features a revised design and an upgraded interior with a 27-inch OLED display.
  • The engine options are carried over and include a twin-turbo V6 with 375 hp.

Genesis unveiled the redesigned G80 last fall and is now preparing to launch it in America. As part of that effort, the brand announced that pricing will start at $57,100.

The 2025 G80 costs $2,700 more than last year’s model and features an evolutionary design with revised front fascias and updated wheels. There’s also a revised color palette and new Micro Lens Array LED headlights.

There are major changes in the interior, where the model gets a new dashboard and a large 27-inch OLED display. Buyers will also find a new steering wheel, a revised center console and updated switches.

In terms of features, the entry-level G80 2.5T AWD features rain-sensing wipers and a hands-free “Smart Trunk” with automatic opening function. The model also features 18-inch alloy wheels and power-folding mirrors with integrated Genesis puddle lights.

The interior is beautifully appointed with synthetic leather upholstery, black piano lacquer trim and heated seats in both rows. There is also a heated power steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control and a 64-color ambient lighting system. Other highlights include a 12-speaker audio system, a fingerprint authentication system and an auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink.

Buyers will find a wide range of driver assistance systems, including Smart Cruise Control, Highway Driving Assist, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist and Lane Keeping/Spur Following Assist. Other safety features include Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist, Safe Exit Assist and High Beam Assist.

Power is provided by a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that develops 300 hp (224 kW / 305 PS) and 311 lb-ft (421 Nm) of torque. It is connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission that is paired with a standard all-wheel drive system.

Buyers looking for something more luxurious can upgrade to the $61,900 G80 2.5T Advanced AWD, which features a slightly revised exterior with a panoramic sunroof and larger 19-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, there are more significant changes, as the model has matte wood trim, ventilated front seats and three-zone automatic climate control. The Advanced trim also has an electric rear sunshade and a Bang & Olufsen premium audio system.

Customers looking for something a little more fun can opt for the G80 2.5T Sport Prestige AWD, which starts at $68,350 and features sportier bumpers, a visible dual exhaust system and larger 20-inch wheels. The upgrades are more than just appearances, as the model comes with “sport tuning,” beefier brakes and an electronically controlled suspension with Road Preview technology.

The sporty style continues inside, as the model features alloy pedals, aluminum trim and leather upholstery. There is also an Ergo-Motion driver’s seat, a wireless smartphone charger and digital key technology.

Last but not least, there are additional driver assistance systems, including a blind spot monitoring monitor, a surround view monitor and an advanced rear seat occupant alert. The model also features Remote Smart Parking Assist and enhanced parking warning and collision avoidance systems.

If you want more from the four-cylinder turbo engine, you can upgrade to the $69,600 G80 3.5T Sport Advanced AWD. It features a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 that develops 375 hp (280 kW / 380 PS) and 530 Nm of torque. Otherwise, the model is largely similar to the G80 2.5T Sport Prestige AWD.

This brings us to the top-of-the-line G80 3.5T Sport Prestige AWD, which starts at $77,000. It’s the coolest model in the range, thanks to a sport-tuned electronically controlled suspension, an electronic limited-slip differential and high-performance brakes. There’s also rear-wheel steering and a special Sport+ driving mode.

The interior hasn’t been forgotten either: drivers will find Nappa leather seats, carbon fiber trim and a micro-suede headliner. The model also features a heated armrest in the front center console, a head-up display and additional driver assistance systems.

The 2025 Genesis G80 will arrive at U.S. dealers in the “coming weeks” and we’ll have a review available shortly.
