Things Only Western New Yorkers Know About the Erie County Fair

The “12 Best Days of Summer” are officially here, as the Erie County Fair is now open and runs through August 18th.

The gates to the Erie County Fair are open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The fairgrounds building is open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and the fairgrounds are open daily from noon to 11:00 p.m.

The ticket costs $22.60 per adult and children under 12 are free. You cannot purchase the tickets with cash. You can purchase them online (HERE) or at any of the gates, but you must use a credit or debit card to complete the purchase.

This is the 184th running of the Eire County Fair and although a lot has changed in those nearly 200 years, there are some things that only the locals here at 716 know.

If you go to the fair this year, you can be sure that there will be plenty of new things to try. In addition to some new foods, the Wall of Death is also returning to the fair this year.

The performances run until August 14th at 1:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
