Lara Trump predicts Harris’ “shine will fade by debate”

RNC co-chair Lara Trump said the current hype surrounding Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign will “die down” with the next presidential debate – this time between former President Donald Trump and Harris.

President Joe Biden withdrew his candidacy for re-election in July, just weeks after his poor performance in the debate against Trump, and Harris succeeded him as the Democratic candidate.

“What you saw was fabricated,” said Lara Trump the Ingraham angle. “The whole thing was pure window dressing, and by the way, it’s the same people in the mainstream media. I want to remind everyone who said a few months ago that maybe Joe Biden wanted to pick a new running mate. Maybe Kamala Harris was a bit of a liability on the ballot. Now we’re all supposed to believe that she’s this political genius. You can’t believe what you see out there.”

“Wait for the debate between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris,” she added. “The shine will wear off. We will see exactly who she is. And I can guarantee you that Donald Trump’s poll numbers will continue to rise.”

The RNC co-chair also encouraged Republican voters not to take the need to vote for granted.

“I think we’ve seen early voting pushed this election cycle particularly by the RNC,” Lara Trump said. “And you’ve finally seen that people are very concerned about early voting. Donald Trump himself posted months ago and said that voting by mail, voting early or voting in person on Election Day are all great ways to vote.”

“The reality for Republicans is that if we all wait until Election Day, it will be too late,” she continued. “We want people to go to the polls and vote.”

A debate between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris will take place on September 10. The debate will be broadcast on ABC.
