Love Island’s Maya Jama reveals her bangs hair transformation

Love Island‘s Maya Jama debuted a new bangs hairstyle for her 30th birthday.

On Instagram, Maya shared a photo of her new look with her fans and wrote: “Grown up girl. So happy to be surrounded by so much love!! 30 let’s celebrate yayyy.”

In the first of a series of photos and clips, Maya is seen with straight hair and dark brown bangs that accentuate her signature long locks.

The rest of the snapshots show the Love Island The presenter’s birthday celebrations included a meal at London’s Belvedere restaurant and a lavish party.

In the final video of the carousel, Maya embraces the latest TikTok trend, “very low key, very mindful,” as she dances around in a little black dress.

Maya’s ex-partner Stormzy was noticeably absent from the celebrations. The couple decided to call it quits in July and confirmed their separation with a joint Instagram statement.

“We laughed as we wrote this because we never, ever thought we would be the couple to announce our separation,” they wrote. “But for the sake of clarity and more importantly to give ourselves the space and peace we need to both navigate this next chapter of our lives in peace, we thought it might be best to do so.”

The statement continued: “We fell madly in love in 2014, separated in 2019 and then spent five years living our lives separately. We decided to try one last time in August 2023 and we have spent the last year trying our best to make it work. However, we recently decided to call it a day.”

The couple confirmed that the split was amicable and said they remain friends. The statement ended with the words: “I love you guys and thank you for all the love you have showered us with. It has been beautiful! Mike and MJ.”

Love Island will be broadcast on ITV2 and streamed on ITVX.
