Ohio State Buckeyes receive important prediction for 2024 record

As the Ohio State Buckeyes prepare for their season opener on August 31 against Akron, high expectations continue to be placed on them.

Many believe Ohio State will be one of the top contenders in the country for the national championship. On paper, their talent is immeasurable.

Some even believe the Buckeyes could go undefeated through the regular season, win the Big Ten championship and then go on to win a national title.

ESPN has now commented on how he thinks the regular season will go for Ohio State.

Using their FPI Matchup Predictor, ESPN has announced a final season record of 11-1. The Buckeyes’ only loss came against the Oregon Ducks, who are also considered national championship contenders.

While a loss to Oregon would be disappointing, the forecaster predicted they would win over the Michigan Wolverines.

Finishing the regular season with a record of 11-1 would put Ohio State in great position for the College Football Playoffs. One loss shouldn’t ruin the entire season, especially when it comes against one of the projected best teams in the nation.

This game should be winnable, though. The Buckeyes should have a chance to pull off this victory and fulfill the rest of these predictions. An undefeated record of 12-0 is certainly possible if Ohio State plays to its full potential and takes charge.

Ryan Day and his team simply have to take the season week by week. They will face difficult situations and close games, but they must stay grounded and play to their potential.

Nevertheless, the 2024 season cannot start soon enough. It is just around the corner and the anticipation is growing rapidly.
