WWE Free Agency: Bobby Lashley moved to the alumni section of the promotion as his contract is about to expire

The All Mighty may soon be gone from WWE altogether. There are reports that Bobby Lashley is currently bound by the terms of a contract that expires in the next few weeks and that he has already been cut from the internal roster, hinting at his impending departure from the promotion.

Additionally, Lashley is now listed in the WWE alumni section.

This would be the biggest loss to the roster so far this summer, regardless of Becky Lynch’s absence (who is expected to actually return), as Lashley is a legend whose reputation far surpasses that of Richochet and Dijak.

Although he has been absent from all programming since the beginning of the year due to injury, he has most recently served as manager of the Street Profits and has also made in-ring appearances. It’s a foregone conclusion that AEW will likely be the first to try and sign the future Hall of Famer should he hit the open market, as he is one of their biggest catches of all time.

Also joining him in free agency is MVP, a masterful man on the microphone who has been channeling his angst with WWE creativity of late and has been nowhere to be seen; his latest appearance, Omos, is also nowhere to be found.

The two have a history together since their time in The Hurt Business, so it’s possible that one will follow the other in hopes of a possible revival of that faction.

WWE was able to re-sign other big names like Drew McIntyre, Chad Gable, and Seth Rollins (who happens to be Becky Lynch’s husband, hint) while also bringing in a roster of young power players like Stephanie Vaquer and Jacob Fatu. They are also expected to sign the Motor City Machine Guns.

Even if it’s not exactly a loss of talent, it can’t be underestimated how strange it would be not to see the All Mighty in the WWE.
