Katie Holmes shows off bold hair transformation as she begins new chapter without daughter Suri

Katie Holmes is beginning a new chapter of her life in New York City, and she is ready!

The Dawson’s Creek: The mysterious setting The star recently appeared on the cover of Town and Country magazine and showed off a stylish new hairstyle for the occasion.

The actress has been sporting trendy curtain bangs for several years, but for the shoot she wore them straight, which framed her face beautifully.

The stunning and striking new look was created by talented hairstylist DJ Quintero, who posted several photos from the shoot on his Instagram page with a focus on Katie’s hair.

Soon, comments from fans started pouring in, saying how much they loved Katie’s hairstyle. “This is stunning,” one wrote, while another commented, “Wow, just wow!” A third added, “Simply beautiful.”

Katie is throwing herself into work and has many exciting projects planned to keep her busy when her beloved daughter Suri, 18, leaves home this weekend.

A new chapter begins for the teenager at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The college welcomes new students on Sunday, August 18.

She is also excited about the prospect of dancing, painting and reading again; she recently joined a book club in New York City.

Katie loves NYC and moved there with Suri after her divorce from Tom Cruise in 2012. She previously spoke openly about raising her daughter in the city, telling InStyle, “The city has a lot to offer and I take advantage of it. Yes, it’s a little too exposed at times and we work hard to navigate and find our way around.”

“But what I love about New York is that it’s just the right atmosphere for me and my child. When you can do 25 things every night, you get out of your own thing. And you know what else I discovered? There’s a place not far from my house that gives foot massages until midnight. That’s what New York has to offer!”

In an interview with People when Suri was a little girl, Katie gave insight into her creative interests and how she passes them on to her daughter.

She said: “Between tickle fights and glitter art, I try to throw in some manners in between. I also try to have good manners so she can see that. I also try to be very creative with her because I know she’s an artist and that appeals to the girl in me.

“Honestly? I probably won’t play catch. That’s not at the top of my list. But I’ll paint and do creative things all day.”
