On Thursday some rain showers will begin, at the end some sunshine

WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) – Thursday will be a little unsettled everywhere. We’ll start with persistent rain showers starting Wednesday night into the morning rush hour. The highest precipitation potential remains in the Northwoods, but everywhere in north-central Wisconsin could see at least some rain earlier in the day Thursday.

Light rain will remain possible over the next few days, but will be most likely in the Northwoods. Skies will clear up late Thursday before more clouds return on Friday.
The highest temperatures on Thursday will reach just over 20 degrees. After the passage of a cold front, the sky will clear up.

A cold front will move through, and behind that cold front, things will clear up a bit. Rain chances will return Thursday night into Friday. Once the cold front passes, rain will be mostly north of Highway 29 this week, with only isolated showers possible further south.

Isolated showers are again possible in the Northwoods on Friday.

Things should clear up a bit Friday through the weekend, making for a nice, pleasant weekend for outdoor activities. Temperatures will be just above 21 degrees south of Highway 29 on Thursday, while they’ll be below 21 degrees around Highway 64 and further north. For all of us, temperatures will drop to just above 18 degrees on Friday, though we probably won’t break any records despite the cooler temperatures.
