Olivia Munn speaks openly about postnatal hair loss after giving birth to her baby Malcolm

Olivia Munn continues to speak openly about her postpartum experiences.

As a former Feed As the 41-year-old actress gave her Instagram followers a glimpse of her growing son Malcolm, whom she has with comedian John Mulaney, Munn spoke in the comments about her experience with postpartum hair loss.

Los Angeles fashion designer Amber Farr commented on the actress’ post and complimented her on her hair, jokingly asking, “Can I have your hair for a day please?” Munn replied, “Um, it falls out in clumps after giving birth.”

“I will let you have it as soon as I can grow it back and give it to you in better condition,” Munn wrote back in the comments.

Munn has spoken openly about her emotional and physical journey following the birth of her son. She and Mulaney, 39, first showed their son in December. A source previously said PEOPLEMunn gave birth to her son on November 24th.

In March, the star said she was both “happy” and “difficult” adjusting to life with her newborn.

“Everyone is sleeping except me,” she said in her Instagram stories, noting that it was 1:54 a.m. For the nighttime selfie, she posed in front of the mirror in a gray Mickey Mouse sweatshirt.

“I’ve been wearing the same sweatshirt for three days (I think, maybe longer?). I’m pretty sure this spit out on my shirt,” she said.

Munn continued, “I’m so happy and struggling at the same time (weird to feel both at the same time and yet so grateful for all the luck that keeps me afloat).”

In order to “feel a little more like myself,” she learned, among other things, martial arts – specifically capoeira.

“My hips still feel wobbly from pushing out a human being, my postpartum anxiety is still there (and horrible), but I picked myself up and took my first capoeira class today,” Munn said at the time. “Hopefully I can keep this up.”
