The Hearst Center will host the PRIDE event “Building Bridges” on Tuesday

CEDAR FALLS – The Hearst Center for the Arts, in collaboration with the Cedar Falls Human Rights Commission and local artists, is hosting a special event Tuesday called “Building Bridges Through the Arts with PRIDE.”

The event will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in celebration of Cedar Falls Pride Month. It is a free, inclusive event showcasing the diversity of the community through music, theater, film and art.

The event will open with a musical performance of The Value of Human Life in front of the Hearst Center. Food and refreshments will be provided.

At the art centre, the public can view works by local artists such as Rose Smith and The Space. Selected pieces will be available for purchase. There will be face painting for all ages.

The Cedar Falls Community Theatre will be on stage, as well as lectures and film screenings highlighting voices from the LGBTQIA+ community.
