Three things to watch out for in the Jets’ second preseason game

Here’s what to look for in the Jets’ second preseason game against the Panthers on Saturday.

1. First-round pick Olu Fashanu will get a lot of time in this game, possibly at right tackle after playing left tackle last week.

The Jets hope Fashanu won’t have to play at all during the regular season and will only be able to watch Tyron Smith and Morgan Moses, but they are preparing him to play on both the left and right sides.

2. The Jets will have to make some interesting decisions regarding the formation of their defensive line.

Former first-round pick Takk McKinley is having a strong training camp and could make the team.

Jalyn Holmes is another edge rusher to keep an eye on and has a chance at one of the final spots on the roster.

3. Rookie running backs Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis had strong debuts last week against Washington.

Can they come up with an encore this week?

What the Jets have seen from the rookie duo is encouraging and they can continue to impress with a big game against the Panthers.
