Suma’s new ethical hair and body care brand ALTER/NATIVE is offering you the chance to win a pack of vegan goodies
Back in 2018, the Suma team set out to develop a new hair and body care range that aligns with their values.
With a commitment to responsibly sourced ingredients, plant-based formulas, and an always vegan and cruelty-free product, ALTER/NATIVE by Suma was born.
ALTER/NATIVE embodies Suma’s commitment to quality and integrity.
Not only are the products all made here in the UK, the brand also works hard to minimise the impact of its packaging.
All soaps come in boxes and, where possible, the bottles are made from Prevented Ocean Plastic (POP)™, which is made from plastic waste collected on coastlines that is at risk of polluting the oceans. How cool is that?
The larger bottles are made from post-consumer plastic and can be easily recycled.
The ALTER/NATIVE series
ALTER/NATIVE by Suma offers a range of wonderfully fragrant scents to suit every mood.
The liquid shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and hand wash are available in seven scents, from coconut and argan oil to rose and geranium.
In the solid soap section, there are also a variety of handmade shampoo and conditioner soaps to choose from, as well as luxury soaps, shaving and facial cleansers and the award-winning All-In-One Earthbound soap, the soap for all occasions.

With the range constantly growing, Suma thought it was time to give this thriving brand its own platform and is excited to announce the launch of the ALTER/NATIVE Instagram channel.
This dedicated channel allows the brand to focus exclusively on products and share tips, stories, updates and promotions with fans.

If you don’t know us yet, here at Suma we’re a little different. We’ve been supplying homes with effective and responsibly sourced vegan products since 1977.
Plant-based treats make us happy, but what makes us even happier is the fact that we are a worker cooperative where everyone has an equal say. There are no bosses or shareholders.
Suma’s approximately 200 members set the direction of the company, regardless of their role or gender.
Everyone – and we mean everyone – receives exactly the same hourly wage.
