It is no secret that Maruti and Toyota have been relaunching their products in the Indian market. In the two years, Toyota has been using rebranded Maruti cars to expand its product portfolio. Now it will happen the other way round as Maruti is launching the rebranded Innova HyCross as Invicto today. In today’s article, we will talk about the 2023 Maruti Invicto.
Variant and price
The Maruti Invicto is available in two variants – Zeta+ and Alpha+. The Zeta+ is available in 7-seater and 8-seater variants while the Alpha+ is available only in 8-seater variants. Price-wise, the 7-seater Zeta+ is priced at Rs 24.79 lakh and the 8-seater Zeta+ is priced at Rs 24.84 lakh (ex-showroom). The Alpha+ is priced at Rs 28.42 lakh (ex-showroom). At the moment, the Invicto is cheaper than the HyCross when compared to similar variants. However, this could be the launch price and Maruti will increase the price later. The Invicto is available in 4 colour options.
Maruti Invicto 2023 – Design
The Invicto retains the same revised silhouette as the Innova HyCross. However, at the front we have a new grille with the prominent Suzuki emblem in the centre. Overall, the front design is similar to that of the Grand Vitara and the Fronx. The headlights have also undergone a slight change in design. The rear profile is almost identical, with a different design of the alloy wheels. Apart from the emblem, there are no changes at the rear.
Technical data
The Invicto is equipped with a 2.0-litre hybrid engine (183bhp) whose motor torque is 188Nm and electric motor torque is 206Nm. This engine is only available with an eCVT transmission. Maruti claims a fuel consumption of 23.25km/l. The Invicto does not have the second 2.0-litre petrol engine with 172bhp and 205Nm torque that the Innova HyCross offers.
Maruti Invicto 2023 Features
The Invicto has slight changes in the upholstery colour. In terms of features, the Invicto is the most feature-rich Maruti car in the country. It comes with features like a panoramic sunroof, electronic parking brake, power tailgate, 10.1-inch infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, ambient lighting and more. The Invicto lacks the ADAS features of the Innova HyCross. Safety features include 6 airbags, hill start assist, TPMS, front and rear parking sensors and disc brakes.
