UFC News: Conor McGregor threatens to drop Michael Chandler for an old rival

After an extraordinary night in Abu Dhabi last weekend, the UFC’s return to the subdued atmosphere of the APEX Arena had already dampened expectations. Now the situation has worsened.

Four cancellations have disrupted the game schedule, including some highly anticipated matches.

Of those four withdrawals, only two fighters remain on the card, with Gutierrez and Barlow facing newcomers Quang Le and Nikolay Veretinnikov, respectively.

“There are literally only 1.5 fights worth caring about,” said One X-User wrote in response to the cancellation of Filho vs. Nascimento: “Potentially the worst card ever.”

“I’m really skipping this card,” said another wrote“The main event would be a terrible prelude.”

Still, one can’t be upset about an APEX card sandwiched between UFC 304, UFC Abu Dhabi, and UFC 305.

“(This map is) somehow unviewable,” a user commented. “But they gave us a solid 304 card, a great Abu Dhabi (Fight Night) and a ton of announcements recently…”

Even though the best fights have been removed from the map, there is still a lot to look forward to.
