Fans of the Little League World Series in Texas will be happy to hear: The boys from Boerne are back in action on Monday.
After a convincing 9-0 win on Thursday for Boerne Little League in the 2024 Little League Baseball World Series, the Texas team will next face the Florida team. The next opponent is Lake Mary, the Southeast Region champion, which won on Wednesday and Friday.
Texas, representing the Southwest Region, defeated Team Pennsylvania, representing the Mid-Atlantic Region, thanks to three home runs and a dozen strikeouts. With just two more wins, they would qualify for the U.S. finals of the LLWS.

If Texas wins and beats Florida, it will advance to the U.S. semifinals on Wednesday, where it will face the winner of the Mountain Region vs. West Region. If Texas loses, it will advance to the elimination round for a game on Tuesday against the Great Lakes Region team vs. the Metro Region team. From there, it would need to win three games to advance to the U.S. finals.

The LLBWS has two groups, one for the 10 United States regional champions and one for the 10 international regional champions.
Where is the Boerne Little League
Located about 30 miles northwest of San Antonio and 90 miles southwest of Austin, Boerne is the county seat of Kendall County and has a population of more than 20,000.
According to the Boerne Star, the Boerne Little League Majors All-Star team won the Southwest Region on August 6 with a 6-3 victory over Louisiana thanks to a grand slam.
Why is Texas playing against Florida?
Florida has already won two games this way.
Florida took a second-inning lead against Washington and never trailed, beating Washington 6-1 thanks to an eight-strikeout performance by its pitchers and two RBIs by James Feliciano, who dominated on the mound in Florida’s first game against South Dakota.
Texas beat Pennsylvania 9-0. Boerne, which won the Southwest Region, hit 12 hits and three home runs, the most in the LLWS. They beat the Pennsylvania team 12 times and held the Council Rock Newtown Little League to just two hits, not getting a single one in the final three innings.
