Repair shop experts Steve and Suzie are unrecognizable in a cute brother-sister snapshot

Repair shop experts Steve and Suzie Fletcher were unrecognisable in a sweet throwback brother-sister photo broadcast on This Morning.

Leatherworker prodigy Suzie and her brother Steve, a clockwork extraordinaire, appeared on the ITV show alongside presenters Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond to talk about the return of their popular BBC show.

The topic quickly turned to the close bond between siblings, and an adorable black-and-white photo of Steve holding his baby sister Suzie appeared on the screen.

Alison said: “We have a beautiful picture of you as a child. Here it is… you as a baby, Suzie,” before the picture of the famous couple appeared, looking unrecognisable.

Dermot then joked: “You don’t look happy with the pressure you’re putting on her, Steve.”

Steve then laughed before turning to his sister and saying, “Is that a real smile?” before all four of them on the couches burst into laughter.

Previously, Alison and Dermot also asked the restoration stars what inspired them in their childhood to develop a passion for upcycling and make it their career.

Alison said, “It must be an absolute pleasure to work with one of your siblings. Your lovely sister Susan,” to which Steve lovingly replied, “I’m very proud.”

Dermot then asked watchmaker Steve and his sister, who is a master saddler, “So what is your family history? Does your interest in restoration and watchmaking come from your mother and father?”

Steve said: “My grandfather was a watchmaker, my father was a watchmaker.

“And I never intended to do that. But when you’re 16 and you don’t know what to do, I thought, well, I might as well go into the family business, and that’s what I’ve been doing ever since.”

Suzie also told the hosts her own personal story: “Well, I mean, Mom was particularly artistic and could design and make anything, and then there were Dad’s practical skills.

“I grew up with this great love of horses and quickly realized that there is this wonderful material called leather and that you can do so much with it.

“I made my first saddle for my horse Sindy and then discovered that you can actually make a career out of saddle making.”

The latest series of The Repair Shop continues to air on Wednesdays at 8pm on BBC One. Episodes are also available on BBC iPlayer.
