Jacoby Brissett and Drake Maye look chic in tank tops and shorts

FOXBOROUGH — Each day during training camp, we’ll provide a quick look at the quarterbacks and their progress. With the understanding that all stats must be viewed in context — and the fact that Saturday’s 90-minute practice was a relatively low-intensity affair in shorts and sweatsuits, featuring very little action compared to a workout in protective gear — here’s a look at their performance:

Jacoby Brissett: In the competitive 11-on-11 sessions, Brissett took the first reps and made 7 of 8 with good connections to Mitchell Wilcox and Demario Douglas.

Drake May: In competitive 11-on-11 practice, Maye was 7-of-9 on Saturday, with sharp connections to Kevin Harris and KJ Osborn. One thing that caught our attention was the sight of Maye toward the end of practice (during the walkthrough portions) working with center David Andrews. It was the first time this summer that Maye was spotted in team drills with the veteran.

Joe Milton: A slow day for the freshman, who went 0-of-1 in 11-on-11 competitive drills, with that attempt being intercepted by defensive back AJ Thomas.

Bailey Zappe: During the competition portion of team practice on Saturday, there was nothing for the veteran to do.
