“The Nightmare” faced his toughest challenge yet at UFC 305, former ranked contender Jingliang Li, a veteran welterweight who has never been knocked out in his 27-fight professional career. Despite this, Prates dismantled Li standing up and knocked him out with a right hook in the second round. the knockout below:

Prates has experience in professional Muay Thai and used his 6’1″ frame to attack and tackle Li from a distance. Prates applied pressure and changed his rhythm with off-steps and angle changes to overwhelm Li. He knocked him down three times in the first round and scored a stunning right hook knockout in the second round.

With this win, Prates extends his UFC winning streak to three and his finish streak to ten. He will likely face a highly ranked opponent in his next appearance.
