At a recent political rally, former US President Donald Trump drew an unusual comparison between himself and his opponent, Democratic candidate Kamala Harris.
The trigger for the unexpected turn in the presidential election campaign was Harris’ contribution to the cover of Time Magazine.
Trump compared Harris’s image on the magazine cover to legendary actresses Sophia Loren and Elizabeth Taylor, then claimed he looked “way better” than them.

Trump criticizes Time magazine because they did not have a photograph of Harris, suggesting they had to resort to an artist’s depiction instead.
“Time The magazine doesn’t have a picture of her,” he explained. “They have this incredible artist who draws her.”
“And I said, ‘Is that Sophia Loren? Who could that be? Is that Elizabeth Taylor? Oh, they have to celebrate the great life and times of the stunningly beautiful Sophia Loren.'”

Trump’s response to Noonan’s comments on Harris
Trump also responded to comments made by a “Ronald Reagan speechwriter,” probably referring to Peggy Noonan, a Wall Street Journal Columnist.
Noonan had praised Harris’ beauty and social warmth, writing: “It is impossible to make a bad picture of her. Her beauty and the social warmth spoken of by all who have known her over the years combine to make a radiant picture.”
However, Trump ignored the part of Noonan’s ruling that highlighted Harris’s significant political advantages and abilities.
Harris’ campaign team reacts to Trump’s comments
Harris’ campaign team did not participate in the beauty debate, but accused Trump of resorting to foul language due to his poor poll numbers.
According to new polls released Saturday, Trump is five percentage points behind in Arizona.
The latest survey from The New York Times and at Siena College, Harris led Arizona by five points.
