Trump continues to personally attack his Democratic rival Kamala Harris

Former US President Donald Trump personally attacked his Democratic rival in the upcoming presidential election, Vice President Kamala Harris, at a campaign rally on Saturday, saying she was “much better looking than Harris”.

“I look a lot better than her. I think I’m a better looking person than Kamala,” Trump said during a campaign rally in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, one of the swing states that will decide the presidential election in November.

According to a report by The Hill, Trump made the remarks about a sketch of Harris on the cover of Time magazine. “Time magazine doesn’t have a picture of her. They have this incredible artist who draws her,” he said. He claimed they had done a lot of pictures that “didn’t work, so they hired a sketch artist.”

Over the past three weeks, Trump has launched a series of personal attacks on Harris, calling her a “lunatic” and a “madwoman,” questioning her ethnicity and claiming he felt “entitled” to the insults because they made him angry. He also said Harris had called him “weird.”

He also asked where President Joe Biden was. “I ran against Biden and now I’m running against somebody else,” Trump was quoted as saying by The Hill. “I said, who am I running against? Harris? I said, ‘Who the hell is Harris?'” he added.

The former president also took a swipe at Democrats in Pennsylvania, including state Governor Josh Shapiro and Senator Bob Casey.

According to The Hill, these comments come after many Republicans, including Trump’s former adviser Kellyanne Conway, urged him to refrain from personal attacks and stick to his policies during the election campaign.

Trump’s “looks” remark was one of many attacks against Harris and her Democratic allies during Saturday’s rally. He also criticized Harris’ economic plan announced Friday, calling it a move that will “bring communism to the United States.” He referred to it as the “Maduro plan,” drawing a comparison to Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.
