Hair washing technique for healthy hair that stays “fresh longer”

Using the right shampoo for your hair type will keep your hair looking its best and staying healthy.

Washing your hair twice in the shower can also improve its appearance.

This is the opinion of the experts of the luxury hair extension specialist Roxy Hair, who explained the benefits of washing your hair twice a day.

They said: “Double washing your hair has become a viral trend on social media. It involves people using two loads of shampoo before rinsing it out as usual.

“The first wash cycle is designed to dissolve stubborn dirt, while the second wash cycle ensures that it is thoroughly washed out.

“This technique is excellent for cleansing the scalp and preventing the formation of dandruff.”

Washing your hair twice also keeps it fresher longer and can extend the time between washes.

By washing your hair twice, all dirt is removed and your hair regains its shine.

However, experts warn against doing this too often, saying it works best when you’ve used a lot of products or your hair is particularly dirty.

They added: “If used excessively, this method can strip your hair of its natural oils, resulting in a dry and irritated scalp. For this reason, it is important to only use this technique occasionally.”

Another staple in most people’s hair care routine is the use of conditioner, but the experts added that it may be best to “skip the conditioner altogether.”

They said: “Conditioners are extremely effective at moisturising your hair, but the product also carries the risk of over-moisturising.

“It is often pointed out that conditioners can make hair look greasy. That is why more and more people are avoiding these products.

“When using conditioner in your hair care routine, it is important not to apply this product directly to the scalp.

“Otherwise, your hair may become flat and damaged. For more volume, it’s best to apply a small amount of conditioner only to the ends of your hair.”
