Chris Brown responds to Tank’s claim that he is a better artist than Michael Jackson

Last week, Tank received a lot of criticism for his appearance on Stephen A. Smith’s talk show. At one point in the episode, he praised Chris Brown and claimed he was a better artist than the King of Pop himself, Michael Jackson. He claimed that Breezy was superior to MJ in terms of production, songwriting, singing, dancing and more. This bold statement outraged viewers, who insisted it wasn’t even close.

His comments even sparked a response from Brown, who shared a snippet of an old interview on his Instagram story yesterday. In it, he shares his thoughts on the comparison to MJ, explaining that there is simply no competition. He added that he is a huge fan of the late hitmaker and does not believe at all that he is better than him.

Chris Brown presents Michael Jackson with his flowers in a resurfaced clip

“That’s Cap. I’m staying the hell out of the debate. My personal opinion is that if that man didn’t exist, I couldn’t even breathe or sing a song,” he explains in the clip. “So, I don’t know if they look at it as a Jordan and Kobe thing, but I can’t even look at it, he’s light years ahead. There’s no competition with him, hell no. I have shrines of that man hanging in my house. No way, I’m not better than Michael Jackson.” Clearly, Brown is on the side of the masses in this debate and has no problem giving credit where it’s due.
