Be have reached the end of the 2024 Pokémon World Championships, but before we say aloha to Honolulu, Mr. Tsunekazu Ishihara, the President and CEO of The Pokémon Company, discussed some exciting new information during the event’s closing ceremony. In addition to news about the Pokémon Trading Card Game, he shared updates on Pokémon GO, Pokémon UNITE, and the Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket. As a final surprise, Mr. Ishihara also revealed the dates and locations for not only the 2025 Pokémon World Championships, but also the 2026 event.

Hopefully you’ve got a full belly when you head out for a game of Pokémon GO. In addition to unveiling a new trailer for the upcoming Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket (along with a teaser for the immersive Mewtwo card), the game’s release date was also announced. Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket will launch on October 30, 2024, and you can pre-register for it now on the App Store and Google Play.

We’ve finally learned the dates and locations for the next two years of the Pokémon World Championships. Next year, the competition will move to Anaheim, California, from August 15-17, 2025. The following year, the event will be held in San Francisco, California, from August 28-30, 2026.
