Blinkit, a local delivery service that specializes in high-speed delivery, has brought Rakhis and gifts to its platform and ensures that customers get these items delivered within minutes. In an unexpected twist, the company has introduced a special feature for the festival season that allows international orders. This new feature allows people living abroad to send Rakhis to their siblings in India. CEO Albinder Dhindsa revealed this update and promised delivery “within 10 minutes.”
“Raksha Bandhan special – we have enabled international orders on Blinkit till August 19th. People living abroad can now place orders on Blinkit to send Rakhis and gifts to their siblings in India and we will deliver in 10 minutes!” Dhindsa tweeted.
He also mentioned that the service is currently available in select countries, including the US, Canada, the Netherlands, Germany, France, and Japan. Since the announcement, the post has received over 11,000 views and nearly 400 likes. While some users had questions about the limited-time offer, many praised Blinkit’s initiative.
One user commented, “Blinkit never lets us down.” Another chimed in, “Is this real? If so, take over the world – one Rakhi at a time.” A third person simply commented, “Nice.” Another added, “Blinkit, you won, boss.” Some users also enquired about the service’s availability in other countries. Blinkit allows customers to order groceries, fruits, vegetables and other daily essentials directly from their browser or mobile app. The company, formerly known as Grofers, was later renamed Blinkit.
