How to style curtain bangs
If you have curtain bangs and don’t really know how to style them, you’re not alone. Even freshly cut hair doesn’t necessarily sit in the perfect position after washing. The key, says hairstylist Larry King, is in the direction you style them.
Blow-dry forward
“You don’t really want to blow-dry curtain bangs while the hair is parted down the middle because that creates a sweep around the face instead of flowing into the rest of the haircut,” he explains. “Instead, blow-dry the entire bangs forward over your face.” When pulling the hair forward, make sure to wrap it around a round brush to help the bangs blend in better with the rest of the cut. Then You can split it in the middle.
Use mousse
For more bite and hold, King also recommends using a hair mousse. “You can use a comb for this or, if you want more volume, apply the mousse to the round brush itself and then blow-dry,” he explains. Once you’ve achieved a strong shape and hold for the bangs, tousle the hair with your fingers and use a styling cream to separate the hair a little. “Daisy Edgar-Jones’ hair is the perfect example of this at the moment – her hairdresser gives the hair a lot of structure and separation,” he says.
Pin and distribute
