Do you remember when you skipped school as a kid to go fishing?
Well, maybe your childhood wasn’t like Huckleberry Finn’s, but this Saturday, August 24th, the 8th Annual Play Hook-E Fishing Day will be held at Lake Juliana Ponderosa Estates Fishing Farm in Millstone.

It is a free fishing day “for veterans, children with disabilities and active duty military” and is sponsored by Cardinale Enterprises, Jersey Shore Vietnam Veterans of America, Laurita Winery, Jersey Coast Anglers Association and American Warrior Outdoors.

From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., participants can enjoy prizes, hayrides, farm animals, free BBQ, free gear, bait and more.

According to organizers, lemonade, hamburgers and hot dogs will be provided for those who register.
