Ohio State football has the most preseason All-Americans in the country

The Ohio State football team has a mission this season. They have the mindset that it’s a national championship season or it’s out. That’s why so many guys have come back this season. The Buckeyes have a lot of seniors on this team who want to leave with a title.

If you want to win a national championship, you have to have a talented team. That’s exactly what the Ohio State Buckeyes have this season. The defense might be the best of any team in the country. That was reflected in the AP Preseason All-American votes.

The AP All-American preseason team has been announced. No one has more preseason All-Americans this year than the Ohio State football team. They have four of them. Two of them are on defense and two on offense.

Denzel Burke is one of those on the list. He has a good chance of being named the best cornerback in the country. He returned to form last year after being plagued by injuries in his sophomore year. Burke is healthy again and ready to show he can be a first-round pick.

The other preseason defensive AP All-American is new safety Caleb Downs. Downs transferred from Alabama in the offseason and joins a secondary that was already the best in the country. Downs makes it even better.

On offense, Emeka Egbuka is one of the nominees. Egbuka was injured most of last year and was unable to play to his full potential. His sprained ankle really hampered him. But he is now healthy again and hopes to have a great season in his final year as a Buckeye.

Donovan Jackson is the other pick on offense. This is the most surprising choice, if only because the offensive line was so bad as a unit last year. Jackson was the only bright spot at the left guard position and will once again be the Buckeyes’ best offensive lineman this year.

These are all just first team players. TreVeyon Henderson and Tyleik Williams were selected for the second team.
