Hagerstown, MD (August 8, 2024) The Washington County Agricultural Education Center is pleased to announce a public information meeting regarding the proposed Agricultural Education Center Multi-Purpose Building. This event is scheduled for Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. and will be held at the Washington County Agriculture Education Center Multi-Purpose Building located at 7313 Sharpsburg Pike Boonsboro MD 21713.
This is a rescheduled meeting from April 17, 2024. Since then, the project has been evaluated and a new site proposed. The meeting will begin with a project overview, followed by working groups with project team members. During the meeting, attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the latest concepts for the Agricultural Education Center Multi-Purpose Indoor Building. Various materials, including floor plans, renderings, and site concept plans, will be available to provide insight into the proposed project. While the overall concept of the building has been defined, the design of individual building elements has not yet occurred, making this meeting the ideal time to gather feedback.
The building will be suitable for hosting special events, agricultural and animal shows and recreational activities, expanding the capacity of the agricultural center and creating the opportunity to host activities all year round. Prepared concept images are provided below.
