Camera club celebrates 50th anniversary in Ohio Valley | News, Sports, Jobs

CELEBRATING 50 YEARS — Members of the Upper Ohio Valley Camera Club celebrated the group’s 50th anniversary Aug. 6 at Two Ridges Presbyterian Church in Wintersville. WINTERSVILLE – The Upper Ohio Valley Camera Club celebrated its 50th anniversary Aug. 6 at Two Ridges Presbyterian Church in Wintersville.

In the afternoon, members came together and enjoyed a special cake and light refreshments provided by the club.

Throughout the event, a member gave a presentation about a recent trip to the Khutzeymateen Grizzly Bear Sanctuary in British Columbia.

Spokesman John Hanish said the camera club is always looking for new members.

Anyone who has a passion or interest in photography is welcome.

Whether it is photographs taken with a camera or capturing images with a mobile phone, anyone who enjoys the arts is welcome to attend a meeting to learn what the club is all about.

The camera club meets today at 7 p.m. for anyone who would like to participate.

Meetings are held at Two Ridges Presbyterian Church, 1085 Canton Road.

The members meet in the social hall on the lower floor.
