Protesters criticize Kamala Harris at the Democratic Party Convention

CHICAGO – The Daily Signal is on site at the Democratic National Convention, where Democrats will formally nominate Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz for vice president.

We saw crowds begin to form on Sunday and filmed anti-Israel protesters breaking through the security perimeter on Monday.

Here is a list of what our Daily Signal reporting team has seen so far.

1. A transsexual, pro-Palestinian rabbi

Truly an unforgettable sight.

2. What exactly does reproductive justice mean?

Ah yes, the all-purpose theme of the left.

3. “Piggy Piggy, go back home”

4. “Leading” the protesters

Here we are, right at the front! When will they realize this?

Watch out, Ohio!

5. A “political prisoner”

6. Kamala not welcome

What are we hearing about Kamala Harris’ popularity?

7. Protesters in chaos

8. “Make it great like 68”

If you would like to refresh your knowledge of the events at the last Democratic Party Convention in Chicago, you can find Jarrett Stepman’s commentary on 1968 here.

9. The lonely counter-demonstrator

“God Bless America” meets with negative response …

10. Blood on her hands?

These anti-Israel protesters are not exactly fans of the vice president.

11. Netanyahu sighting

This is the Barbie Netanyahu …

12. Smoke bombs

Body armor, smoke bombs, just another day at the DNC in Chicago.

13. No justice, no… jungle gyms?

Hmm… Maybe these people won’t take over the DNC at all.

14. Protesters have broken through the barrier!

The protesters broke through the Secret Service security perimeter.

Chicago police claimed they brought the situation under control “immediately.”

They break in …

Some protesters moved parts of the fence to prevent police from rebuilding it.

15. The police restore order

Authorities are working to clear a park after the barrier was breached.
