Why I think the new Duke 390 is better than its direct competitors

After this test drive I also tried the Svartpilen 401 and the Triumph Scrambler 400x.

BHPian Venivici recently shared this with other enthusiasts.

I recently took a test ride on the 2024 Duke. As a returning rider, it was one of my first test rides and I fear it may have spoiled the rest of the bikes for me.

The sheer power and control the bike gives you in terms of handling and braking, and the ability to steer it into a gap and rocket through, had me grinning like a madman. I’d describe it as just the right amount of fear and exhilaration. Sometimes you come across a vehicle that tugs at your heartstrings, and then the gremlins in your head start whispering – will I be able to do this? – wouldn’t it be wiser to opt for a more “sensible” motorcycle?

After this test ride I also tried the Svartpilen 401 (good handling but less refined than the Duke) and the Triumph Scrambler 400x (the high seating position and power delivery took away my feeling of the bike). I still have to try the NS400Z and the RTR310.

Practicality or YOLO is the thought process going on in my head.
